Filipino’s PORK SINIGANG Recipe

Sinigang na Baboy Recipe

 

Recipe Complete Ingredients:

 

1 kilo pork ribs and liempo, cut into pieces

4 cups water

3 medium size tomatoes, sliced

2 medium size onion, sliced

1 ½ rock salt

1 medium size icicle radish, sliced

10 pieces okra, sliced in halves

1 bunch kangkong or river spinach

2 packs sinigang tamarind soup base package

1 bunch sitao, sliced into 1 inch length

 

SINIGANG NA BABOY RECIPE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

 

– In a large pot, bring water and pork to a boil. 

 

– Add tomatoes, onion, salt and tamarind.  Simmer 1 hour or until pork is tender.

     

– Taste for seasoning.  Bring to a boil.  Add radish.

 

– Add sitaw and okra. Bring to a boil or until vegetables are cooked.

 

– Add kangkong.

 

– Cover and remove from heat.  Let stand 5 minutes to finish

   cooking kangkong.

 

This Filipino recipe is great with hot rice.
